Uzbekistan announces next conscription for military service

A presidential decree titled "On the Next Conscription of Citizens of Uzbekistan for Compulsory Military Service and the Discharge of Those Who Have Completed Their Term into the Reserve of the Armed Forces" has been issued.

According to the decree, citizens of Uzbekistan who have reached conscription age and do not have the right to deferment or exemption from conscription will be called up for compulsory military service in March-April 2025.

Citizens who are deemed fit for military service, including those fit with certain restrictions, and who do not have the right to deferment or exemption but will not be called up for active service during this conscription period, will be enlisted into the mobilization reserve service.

Servicemen who have completed their designated term of compulsory military service will be discharged into the reserve of Uzbekistan’s Armed Forces in March-April 2025.

The responsibility for overseeing the implementation of this decree has been assigned to Uzbekistan's Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov and the Secretary of the Security Council under the President, Viktor Makhmudov.
