Sherkhon Allamurotov appointed as governor of Kizirik district
Anvar Oripov, who had been leading the district for nearly 10 months, was relieved of his position at his own request. Sherkhon Allamurotov, the head of the Kizirik District Department of Internal Affairs, was appointed in his place.

An extraordinary session of the People's Deputies District Council was held in Kizirik district, according to the press service of the Surkhandarya Regional Administration. The session was attended by the regional governor, Ulugbek Kosimov, who discussed the ongoing work, achievements, and shortcomings in the socio-economic development of Kizirik district.
The regional leader announced that Anvar Oripov, who had been serving as the district governor, was relieved of his duties at his own request. He proposed Sherkhon Allamurotov's candidacy as the new governor of Kizirik district, which was unanimously approved by the deputies.
Sherkhon Allamurotov was born in 1986 in Jarkurgan district. He graduated from the Ministry of Internal Affairs Academy in 2011. His specialty is law, and he holds the military rank of lieutenant colonel.
Throughout his career, he has served in various roles in the internal affairs system, including as a department head in the regional Department of Internal Affairs and as the head of Jarkurgan District's Department of Internal Affairs. Before this appointment, Allamurotov had been serving as the head of the Kizirik District Department of Internal Affairs since 2023.
It is worth noting that Anvar Oripov was appointed as governor of Kizirik district in April 2024. Before that, he served as the first deputy governor of the region.
