According to the data from the Customs Committee, compared to 2023, the value of imports decreased by 33.2%, while the number of cars imported dropped by 7%.

More than 61,000 passenger cars were imported from China, accounting for 81.6% of the total foreign car imports. Almost the entire import of electric vehicles came from China, with 22,100 units brought in during the first 11 months of the year.

South Korea ranks second, albeit with a significant gap, with just under 12,000 cars. The United States follows with 639 vehicles, India with 577, and Japan with 168. Additionally, 374 cars were imported from other countries.

Last year, for the first time in history, the import of electric vehicles and hybrids to Uzbekistan exceeded the import of gasoline-powered cars. The share of internal combustion engine cars in total imports decreased from 64.4% to 44.2%. At the same time, the share of electric vehicles in imports increased from 20% to 32.3%, and hybrids rose from 15.3% to 23.4%.
