AMMC increases production by 20% in 2024, while exports decline by 8%
The Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Combine (AMMC) shared its results for 2024, reporting that it fulfilled all of its targets, including ore extraction and cathode copper production.

Last year, AMMC produced goods worth 38.14 trillion UZS. Compared to 2023, the "forecast indicator" was exceeded by 16.1%. However, when compared to the 2023 financial report, the production volume in sum terms increased by 20.5% (31.66 trillion UZS).
According to AMMC, the targets and forecasts for ore extraction, copper raw material processing, cathode copper production, copper content in concentrate, polymetallic ore extraction and processing, and zinc content in zinc concentrate were all exceeded. However, exact production volumes are not specified.
In 2024, AMMC exported products worth $610.8 million. Thus, the forecast of $550 million was already met by mid-November, and by the end of the year, it was exceeded by 11.1%.
However, compared to previous years, the combine’s exports significantly decreased: in 2022, exports were $947.5 million, and in 2023, $661.9 million.
In terms of product types, 51.69 thousand tons of copper products were shipped (132.6% of the forecast), 15.18 thousand tons of lead concentrate (+21.5%), and 760 tons of molybdenum products (+9.3%). AMMC also met its targets for the export of rhenium, cadmium, copper sulfate, and palladium powder. Further details were not provided.
Currently, the combine exports to 19 countries, with copper, zinc, molybdenum, rhenium, lead concentrate, cadmium, and palladium powder being the main products. In 2024, new markets were developed, including countries such as Guinea, Senegal, Serbia, South Africa, Morocco, and Portugal.
According to the Tax Committee, AMMC paid taxes to the budget amounting to 10.79 trillion UZS last year, which is slightly more than in 2023.
