Government launches healthy food initiative for kindergarten with outsourcing model
To ensure healthy, safe, and high-quality nutrition for children in state kindergartens, the government has adopted a resolution titled "On Measures to Improve the Organization of Healthy Nutrition in State Preschool Educational Institutions," which includes the implementation of a "Unified Seasonal Menu" by July 1, 2025.
As part of the resolution, the following measures will be introduced:
- A phased transition to outsourcing the food service system in state preschool educational institutions;
- Implementation of a "Unified Seasonal Menu" and tracking food-related expenses through dedicated modules within the "Bolalar Bog’chasi" (Kindergarten) preschool education management information system;
- Establishment of a nutrition system in state kindergartens based on the "Unified Seasonal Menu," with daily food expenses calculated per child and tailored to regional specifics across the country.
In addition, a Center for the Organization and Control of Nutrition in the Education Sector will be established.
The Center’s main responsibilities will include coordinating the implementation of healthy nutrition programs in state preschool and general educational institutions, as well as the gradual digitalization of related processes.
The resolution also approves regulations "On the Procedure for Organizing Healthy Nutrition Based on Outsourcing in State Preschool Educational Institutions."
By July 1, 2025, contracts with entrepreneurs will be signed in kindergartens that organize healthy nutrition, and an outsourced food system will be fully implemented.
