The agency reported that plunging temperatures and heavy snowfall across Kazakhstan have created hazardous travel conditions. Blizzard-like conditions, icy roads, and poor visibility are causing significant disruptions on major highways.

"In light of the current situation, we strongly advise Uzbek citizens in Kazakhstan to adhere strictly to all safety protocols while traveling. If possible, opt for trains or flights for long distances. Avoid road travel unless absolutely necessary," the statement read.

Temperatures in Kazakhstan are expected to drop to -10°C at night, with some regions experiencing lows of -23°C. Blizzard conditions, fog, and ice are predicted in areas such as Akmola, Turkistan, Kostanay, Pavlodar, and North Kazakhstan provinces.

This advisory comes just months after a tragic accident in Kazakhstan's Mangystau region in October 2024, where six Uzbek citizens, including two children, lost their lives in a traffic collision. The victims were returning to Uzbekistan from Russia.

The Migration Agency emphasized the importance of prioritizing safety and refraining from unnecessary road travel. Citizens are encouraged to monitor weather updates and follow local authorities' guidance to avoid potential dangers.
