Two years ago, Yuldosheva faced a life-altering tragedy when she lost both of her legs in a harvesting accident. Rather than succumbing to despair, she channeled her energy into empowering others, particularly women, by establishing her own sewing business.
Having quickly grasped the basics of entrepreneurship and resource management, Yuldosheva trained over 40 women in sewing skills. Her business grew rapidly within months, securing contracts for sewing uniforms for workers and schoolchildren. Today, her company provides a steady source of income for not only herself but also dozens of other women in her community.
BBC highlights Yuldosheva’s resilience and commitment to uplifting others, noting how her business has become a platform for social and economic empowerment.
In addition to Yuldosheva, the BBC list features a range of remarkable women, including Nobel Peace Prize laureate Nadia Murad, activist and sexual assault survivor Giselle Pelico, actress Sharon Stone, and ethnic complex director Zhanilsynzat Turganbayeva from Kyrgyzstan.
