Ashurov brothers dismissed from office: One was Prime Minister’s aide, the other – SSS official
Two high-ranking officials, Sarvar Ashurov, an aide to Uzbekistan’s Prime Minister, and his brother, Alijon Ashurov, head of the State Security Service’s (SSS) Internal Security Directorate, have been dismissed from their positions. Their removal is reportedly linked to the ongoing investigation into an attempted assassination of Komil Allamjonov, a former senior official in the presidential administration.

Sarvar Ashurov
The Prime Minister's press office confirmed that Sarvar Ashurov was relieved of his duties as head of the Prime Minister’s reception office. Shukhrat Ibragimov has been appointed as his replacement.
According to sources cited by Kun.uz, Alijon Ashurov, a colonel who had served as head of the SSSS Internal Security Directorate, was also dismissed. Both brothers are alleged to have obstructed the investigation into the assassination attempt on Allamjonov.
This development follows a series of dismissals of other top officials connected to the case. These include Abdusalom Azizov, former Head of the SSS; Akhrorjon Adkhamov, Head of the Criminal Investigation Service within the MIA’s Operational-Search Department; Doniyor Tashkhojayev, First Deputy Chief of the Tashkent Main Department of Internal Affairs; and Timur Sobirov, Head of the Organized Crime Department in Tashkent.
