Once operational, the plants are expected to generate 2.1 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity annually, valued at approximately $97 million, through the incineration of over 4.7 million tons of waste each year. This initiative is projected to reduce landfill usage by a factor of five.

In addition to waste reduction, the plants are anticipated to save 152 million cubic meters of natural gas and cut greenhouse gas emissions by 2.4 million tons. The initiative is also expected to create 1,200 new jobs across the country.

Construction will start in January 2025 in Andijan, Bukhara, Jizzakh, Kashkadarya, Navoi, Namangan, Samarkand, Syrdarya, and Fergana regions, as well as in Tashkent city, with completion slated for December 2026.
