Komil Allamjonov survives assassination attempt
On the night of October 26, a gun attack was carried out against Komil Allamjonov, former head of the Information Policy Department at the Presidential Administration, according to a source from Kun.uz. The incident occurred at around 1:30 a.m. near Allamjonov's residence in the Qibray district.
The assailants, two unidentified individuals, fired multiple shots at the vehicle Allamjonov was in before fleeing the scene. Fortunately, Allamjonov escaped unharmed.
The incident comes just weeks after Allamjonov was dismissed from his position on September 30. He subsequently announced plans to continue his career in the private sector. Authorities have not yet released any details about the possible motives behind the attack or the identities of the suspects involved.
