Changes are planned for the border areas of the Tashkent region with the Syrdarya and Namangan regions. This was announced during the presentation of a draft decision proposed by the Tashkent Regional Cadastre Agency at the next session of the People’s Deputies of the Tashkent Regional Council.
According to the proposal, the following changes are suggested to streamline the inter-regional boundary lines:
310.4 hectares of land from five areas in the Syrdarya region (Syrdarya, Saykhunabad, Guliston, Bayavut districts, and the city of Shirin) will be transferred to the Tashkent region.
347.2 hectares of land from six areas in Tashkent region (Chinoz, Lower Chirchiq, Oqqorgon, Buka, Bekobod districts, and the city of Bekobod) will be transferred to Syrdarya region, with a difference of 36.8 hectares.
38.8 hectares of land from the Pop district in the Namangan region will be transferred to the Tashkent region.
26.3 hectares of land from the Ohangaron district in the Tashkent region will be transferred to the Namangan region, with a difference of 12.5 hectares.
The draft decision has been approved by the local council deputies.
