Paris 2024: Lazizbek Mullajonov wins gold, becomes Olympic champion

At the 2024 Summer Olympic Games, the Uzbekistan delegation secured its third gold medal in boxing.
In the +92 kg weight category, Lazizbek Mullajonov faced Alfonso Dominguez, an Azerbaijani athlete originally from Cuba, in the final and won with a score of 5:0.
With this victory, Uzbekistan's medal count at the Paris Olympics has reached eight — five gold and three bronze. The delegation has risen to 14th place in the overall team standings.
Additionally, Uzbekistan has broken its record for the number of gold medals won at a single Olympic Games, surpassing the four golds achieved in Rio 2016.
