Following the recent competitions, a number of national athletes have earned the right to participate in the quadrennial main event.
For instance, in Japan following the Asian Canoe Sprint Championship and in South Korea in the rowing events, athletes secured 5 Olympic berths. Canoe sprinters and canoeists earned 3 slots for the Paris 2024 Summer Olympics, and rowers took 2.
In Kyrgyzstan, Aktenge Keunimjaeva (-50 kg) won Uzbekistan's first-ever Olympic license in women's wrestling.
Nigina Uktamova, the first Uzbek female boxer to win a world championship title, will also represent Uzbekistan in Paris.
Greco-Roman wrestler of the Uzbekistan national team Rustam Assakalov (-97 kg) will represent the country at the Olympic Games for the third time. He secured this right at the qualifying tournament in Kyrgyzstan.
