Uzbekistan's ambassador to Sweden concludes his mission

At the meeting, Jan Knutsson thanked Nodir Ganiev for his contribution to the development of political, interparliamentary, economic, and cultural-humanitarian relations between the two countries and wished him success in his future endeavors.

It should be noted that Nodir Ganiev began his duties as the first ambassador of Uzbekistan to Sweden with a residence in Stockholm in October 2023. Since 2022, he has represented Uzbekistan as the Chargé d'affaires in Stockholm. Before his appointment to Sweden, he held the position of Head of the Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for cooperation with European countries and EU institutions. He has been working in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs system since 1994, holding various positions in the central office and the country's diplomatic missions abroad.

Reports about him being relieved of his duties first emerged on June 29, when the Senate Council of Oliy Majlis announced its decision on his dismissal.
