Uzbekistan's Ambassador Karomiddin Gadoev held a meeting with King Lim Chin Fui, the founder and CEO of Malaysia's FIVE Petroleum Malaysia, the "Dunyo" news agency reported.
At the meeting, investment opportunities in Uzbekistan were discussed with the head of the Malaysian company.
King Lim expressed his interest in implementing the agreement reached with the Samarkand regional administration during a business forum held in May this year, concerning a project to produce aluminum cans.
The head of FIVE Petroleum Malaysia indicated the company's readiness to cooperate with soft drink production companies operating in Uzbekistan for the supply of aluminum cans to be produced by the company. Additionally, an agreement was reached to start the project of creating and equipping a network of gas stations in Tashkent city and later in other regions of the republic with modern equipment.
During the meeting, it was agreed to organize a working visit to Uzbekistan for a delegation of company representatives.
FIVE Petroleum Malaysia was founded in 2020. The company operates over 110 gas stations across the country and owns a 60% stake in BHPetrol, which has more than 400 gas stations.
