Starting from the 2024/2025 academic year, exams for admission to state higher and vocational educational institutions will be held simultaneously according to the principle “first test, then choice”, follows from the presidential decree.

Applicants, in accordance with their choice, based on the scores obtained during tests, participate in a competition for admission to study, first in undergraduate education, then in professional educational institutions.

The admission process to undergraduate programs at state higher educational institutions will be carried out in two stages:

• at the first stage, applicants annually from June 5 to June 25 (inclusive) register to take tests, select a block of subjects, language of instruction and region for taking tests. If the entrance exams include a professional (creative) exam, they select a state higher educational institution where this exam will be taken. Entrance examinations for admission to studies are held in July-August;
• at the second stage, applicants, after fully completing the tests within 15 days, choose a higher educational institution, the direction of undergraduate education and the form of education.

Starting from the 2025/2026 academic year, admission to areas of education in which a foreign language in a block of subjects is defined as the first subject will be carried out on the basis of a national or international certificate determining the level of knowledge of a foreign language.

Applicants are admitted to all state colleges and technical schools on the principle of “test first, then choice”, after the announcement of the final results of admission to higher educational institutions, within 10 days – they choose a college and (or) technical school, profession and specialty, and form of study.
