Fraudsters who promised to help with university admission detained in Tashkent

In Tashkent and the Tashkent region, employees of the PGO Department, together with the State Security Service, stopped fraudulent attempts related to admission to universities and technical schools.

In particular, citizen A. Kh. was detained, who, for $2 thousand, promised citizen J.R. to prepare a fake document confirming the completion of the 2nd year of a university in Kazakhstan and transfer to the 3rd year of the Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research in Tashkent. He was detained while receiving the required amount.

A similar incident was stopped in the capital’s Yangikhayot district. Citizen J.I. also promised to prepare a fake document confirming the completion of the 1st year of a university in Kazakhstan, and then help him enroll in one of the universities in Uzbekistan for the 2nd year. He was detained while receiving $1,500.

Also, during an operative event held in Kattakurgan, an employee of the Medical College of Public Health named after Abu Ali ibn Sino. Citizen F. Sh. promised to enroll two people in this technical school for $1,000.

Based on the above facts, criminal cases were initiated under Articles 168 (Fraud) and 211 (Giving a bribe) of the Criminal Code, investigative actions are underway.
