Employees of the Andijan Regional SSS Department conducted rapid operations with the involvement of the Regional Customs Department.
In particular, 4 persons living in the city of Andijan and Andijan district were caught when they tried to take out of the country to Kyrgyzstan through the “Dostlik” border-customs post, hidden in their clothes, gold items in the shape of a chain, a tooth mold, and a crowbar.
According to the expert’s conclusion, the total weight of gold items and alloys with purity level of 997 taken from them as material evidence is 556 grams, and the total price is 474 million 256 thousand soums.
In another case, a woman living in Izboskan district was stopped while leaving to Kyrgyzstan through the “Madaniyat” border-customs post and was subjected to a personal examination.
As a result, it was found that it contained gold in the form of a chain and a crowbar, total weight of 568 grams, purity level of 992, which was not shown in the passenger’s customs declaration, and it was registered as material evidence. According to expert opinion, the total value of these gold articles and ingots is 431 million 894 thousand soums.
Also, his accomplice, a woman living in Namangan district, was stopped during the illegal export of 249,240,000 soum chains and non-standard bullion with a purity level of 992, net weight of 271 grams.
It was found out that the violators planned to take gold articles to Türkiye through Kyrgyzstan.
Currently, criminal cases have been initiated against these persons under Article 182, Part 2, Paragraph “a” of the Criminal Code. Investigations are being carried out.
