Plane flying to Chicago makes an emergency landing in Tashkent
An Air India plane en route from Delhi to Chicago (flight AI-127) was forced to land at Tashkent International Airport due to the poor health of an elderly passenger.

An Air India plane, performing flight AI-127 on the Delhi-Chicago route, was forced to land at Tashkent International Airport, the Uzbekistan Airports JSC reported.
The reason for the emergency landing was the passenger’s poor health. An 86-year-old woman on board became ill with her heart. The crew decided to proceed to the nearest alternate airfield.
“At 06:44, an Air India aircraft landed at Tashkent airport. The passenger and her accompanying ambulance were hospitalized at the Republican Scientific Center for Emergency Medical Care,” the report reads.
The Air India plane is preparing to take off from Tashkent airport.
