According to the presidential press service, at the beginning of the conversation, Tatiana Molcean conveyed sincere greetings and best wishes to the President of Uzbekistan from the UN Secretary-General António Guterres.
Topics discussed included the implementation of regional and country-specific projects, as well as the practical advancement of initiatives proposed by the President of Uzbekistan at the first summit of the UN Special Programme for the Economies of Central Asia (SPECA) held in Baku last November.
Mirziyoyev noted the commission's key role in achieving the sustainable development goals by 2030 and the support provided in areas of transport, innovation, environmental protection, gender equality, and Uzbekistan's accession to the WTO.
The importance of the prompt adoption of the SPECA Development Concept until 2030, the launch of the Programme's Target Fund, and the preparation of several conceptual documents were underscored.
