Yandex Go to launch a taxi tariff with e-cars in Uzbekistan
Yandex Go will launch a special tariff with electric cars in taxis in Uzbekistan, the press service of the service told Gazeta.uz. In the near future, such a tariff will become available in Tashkent.

The tariff will include cars from BYD, Dongfeng, Hongqi and others. At first, Yandex Go plans to connect more than 1,000 cars to the service.
Next, the company plans to increase the number of partners using electric vehicles to support the development of a sustainable urban environment, Yandex Go said.
Gazeta.uz asked representatives of the service whether the launch of a separate tariff for electric vehicles is connected with the wave-like growth in the popularity of such cars in Uzbekistan. According to the most recent open data available now, in January-October 2023, 22.49 thousand electric vehicles were imported into Uzbekistan. Compared to the same period in 2022, the volume of imports increased more than 6 times.
“The launch of the tariff is associated with a fairly developed infrastructure in the city and stable demand among customers for the use of electric cars,” Yandex Go answered.
“Electric cars have a high level of comfort – they are modern and operate quietly. At the same time, they are economical to operate, lower fuel consumption and costs, which is beneficial for drivers. For the urban environment, the use of electric vehicles, including in taxis, helps reduce noise in the city and reduce emissions,” Kirill Svintsov, development director of Yandex Taxi in the CIS, said.
It should be noted that electric cars in the Yandex Go application are now included in the “Comfort+” tariff; previously they were included in the “Business” tariff.
Uzbekistan is the second country in which Yandex Go introduces tariffs specifically for electric vehicles. Previously, such a tariff appeared in Belarus in 2021.
