Swift News: Issues of strategic trade corridors between Central Asia and the Gulf states will be discussed in Tashkent
The Saudi electronic newspaper Swift News provides detailed coverage of the meeting taking place in Tashkent in the format “Central Asia – Cooperation Council for the Gulf Arab States”.

In particular, announcing the event, the newspaper writes that the meeting is attended by delegations from Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and the GCC member states – Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
It was reported that the meeting will consider the implementation of agreements reached at the first summit of the heads of state of Central Asia and the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, held on July 19, 2023 in Jeddah. Following the meeting, it is planned to adopt a Joint Statement.
The newspaper also reports that on the eve of the event, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov received the Secretary General of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf Jasem Mohamed AlBudaiwi.
“Jasem AlBudaiwi noted that he pays great attention to the development of relations between the countries of the Persian Gulf and Central Asia,” the statement said. “The parties discussed issues on the agenda of the meeting, including further strengthening cooperation in the political, trade-economic, investment spheres, digital technologies and energy, as well as the creation of important strategic trade corridors between the two regions”.
