A woman born in 1996 in the Bekabad district (Tashkent region) fell from the 5th floor of an apartment building and died. She was regularly abused by her husband.

Kun.uz clarified that the incident occurred on March 27 at around 21:30 in a rented flat. According to neighbors who witnessed the incident, the woman screamed before falling: “I don’t want to live, I am fed up with your beatings”. Neighbors tried to help, but the apartment door was locked.

The woman taken to the hospital died despite receiving medical care.

The deceased was issued a protection warrant three times, the last time on March 6, 2024. According to the document, the husband and wife were prohibited from being in the same room.

Relatives of the deceased believe that her husband is to be blamed for the woman’s death.

“My sister was previously given a protection warrant. But despite this, her husband continued to come and impose pressure on her. First, he beat my sister and then threw her downstairs in her underwear. This is barbarity,” the brother of the deceased said in a conversation with Kun.uz correspondent.

The woman's two children, daughters aged 6 and 2, were at their grandfather's house during the incident.

A Kun.uz correspondent visited the Bekabad district to study the details of the incident. The investigator of the district prosecutor's office said that he would not comment on what happened, but advised that detailed information could obtained from the Tashkent regional prosecutor's office.

Kun.uz website will cover the incident details in the near future.
