Number of undergraduate students in Uzbekistan exceeded 1 million
In undergraduate disciplines, the largest number of students is registered in the education sector – 317,872 people.

According to the Statistics Agency, at the beginning of the 2022/2023 academic year, 1,009,271 students were enrolled in undergraduate courses in higher education organizations of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Number of students by sectors (people):
1. education – 317,872;
2. mechanical engineering, mechanical processing and construction – 167,970;
3. business, management and law – 113,723;
4. arts and humanities – 93,513;
5. social sciences, journalism and information – 74,868;
6. healthcare and social security – 60,023;
7. services – 46,852;
8. agriculture, forestry, fisheries and veterinary medicine – 46,556;
9. information and communication technologies – 46,066;
10. natural sciences, mathematics and statistics – 41,828.
