According to the documents provided by the Tribuna.uz source, FIFA has sent the decision to the Uzbekistan Football Association to pay the amount owed by the Bunyodkor FC to Rivaldo (€8.1 million) and Denilson (€1.1 million).
On February 22, members of the FIFA Disciplinary Committee made a decision regarding the case between the Bunyodkor FC and the Brazilian players. FIFA’s decision stated the following:
Regarding the case between Bunyodkor FC and Rivaldo:
1. Bunyodkor club was found guilty of not fully complying with the decision of the FIFA Dispute Resolution Chamber on September 21, 2017. This was fully confirmed by the Court of Arbitration for Sport on November 6, 2023.
2. According to the decision of the FIFA Dispute Resolution Chamber and CAS, Bunyodkor club must pay Rivaldo Vitor Borba Ferreira the following:
• €2,489,947 – unpaid prize money by the club to the Brazilian player and 5% annual bonus;
• €5,664,000 – compensation due to the termination of the contract and a 5% annual bonus;
• 10,000 Swiss francs – compensation for expenses in the arbitration proceedings.
Regarding the case between Bunyodkor FC and Denilson:
1. Bunyodkor club was found guilty of not fully complying with the decision of the FIFA Dispute Resolution Chamber on September 21, 2017. This was fully confirmed by the Court of Arbitration for Sport on November 6, 2023.
2. Bunyodkor club must pay the following to Denílson Martins Nascimento:
• $700,000 – bonus money not paid by the club to the Brazilian player and a 5% annual bonus;
• $400,000 – compensation for breach of contract and 5% annual bonus;
• 10,000 Swiss francs – compensation for expenses in the arbitration proceedings.
It is noted that FIFA has given the Bunyodkor club a deadline of 30 days to pay this amount. Otherwise, appropriate measures will be taken by the organization.
Also, the Bunyodkor FC was fined 30,000 Swiss francs for both players.
It should be recalled that Rivaldo defended the honor of the Bunyodkor club in 2008-2010 and became the champion of Uzbekistan three times. Denilson won the championship with the Tashkent club in 2010, scored 4 goals in 14 games in the Supreme League, and 5 goals in 6 AFC Champions League games.
