During the visit of the Uzbekistan delegation led by the Chair of the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis Committee on International Affairs and Inter-Parliamentary Relations Dilfuza Fayzieva, meetings were held with Deputy Speaker Krzysztof Bosak of Sejm and Deputy Marshal of the Senate Michał Kamiński.

The talks reviewed the current state and prospects for bilateral cooperation, the development of inter-parliamentary interaction, the activation of inter-regional contacts, trade, transport corridors, the ‘green’ economy, and other issues.

The parties noted an intensification of contacts between representatives of political and economic circles and emphasized the necessity of working to create an effective legal framework for the implementation of key areas of cooperation.

Deputy Speaker of the Sejm Krzysztof Bosak pointed out that there is a strengthening climate agenda in the EU and the introduction of various charges for producers from member countries. In this context, it was mentioned that goods from Uzbekistan have a competitive advantage due to lower energy costs compared to Poland.

Deputy Marshal of the Senate Michał Kamiński highlighted that stability in Uzbekistan is essential for economic growth in Central Asia. "Ensuring stable security in the Central Asian states meets the interests of the Polish side," he remarked.

The Polish party noted that the launch of a direct flight from Tashkent to Warsaw in March will play a significant role in expanding Uzbek-Polish cooperation in socio-economic and cultural-humanitarian spheres.
