Recently, the relevant licenses of 5 private higher education institutions in Uzbekistan have been revoked for grossly violating licensing requirements and conditions, and the court process for the annulment of one private higher education institution’s license is ongoing. This was reported by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Innovations.
It is noted that, according to the relevant presidential decree, the ministry has been granted the right to transfer students studying in an educational institution whose license has been revoked or in a closed educational program, to appropriate and equivalent educational directions and specialties of state and private educational institutions according to the established procedure.
Consequently, as of today, all students of higher education institutions - Valley Innovative University, and Binari University in Urgench, whose licenses have been fully revoked following court proceedings, have been transferred to other higher education institutions in an appropriate manner. Currently, arrangements are being made to transfer the studies of students from other higher education institutions whose licenses have been revoked.
"The ministry assures that not a single student from a higher education institution with a revoked license will be left out. Based on the applications of all students, their studies will be transferred to other institutions according to the established procedure," the report states.
