Corpses of citizens killed in the road accident in Russia’s Penza Oblast delivered to Uzbekistan

The bodies of those killed in the accident in the Penza Oblast of Russia were brought to Uzbekistan by a special plane of the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported.

It was reported that the working group established by the order of the Government on the basis of the President’s order arrived in Penza Oblast on January 12, met with the heads of the responsible agencies of the Russian Federation and carried out organizational and practical actions on the basis of cooperation. After that, a special plane took off from the Russian Federation and landed at Urganch International Airport at 06:50 on January 13.

One of the injured citizens died in the morning of January 12 in a hospital in Penza, despite the doctors’ treatment.

In cooperation with the Ministries of Emergency Situations, Internal Affairs, Foreign Affairs, Health and Transport, the bodies of the deceased citizens were sent to their places of residence. Currently, preparations are being made by the local administrations for holding funeral ceremonies.

It was added that 1 more injured citizen will be returned to Uzbekistan after completion of treatment at the hospital in Penza.

It should be recalled that on the night of January 11, 7 citizens of Uzbekistan were killed in a road accident with the involvement of a Volvo truck and a minivan in the Nizhnelomovsk district, the Penza Oblast of Russia. After the incident, the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, ordered the relevant agencies to bring the bodies of those killed in the accident.
