UFA bans 3 referees and sports director of “Kokand-1912” FC from football for life

During the study of the issue on the agenda, it was identified that before the match between “Kokand-1912” and “Mash’al” football clubs, which took place on March 22, 2023 within the framework of the Pro League, Shuhrat Muminov, the representative of “Kokand-1912” FC, appealed to the referee of the center of football referees of Uzbekistan, Husan Muzaffarov, asking him to referee in favor of “Kokand-1912” football club and offered money in return. The referee of the match, Khusan Muzaffarov, agreed to this proposal and the match ended in favor of the “Kokand-1912” FC.

Also, before the match between “Orol” and “Kokand-1912” football clubs, which took place on June 18, 2023 within the framework of the Pro League, the representative of “Kokand-1912” FC Shukhrat Muminov offered financial benefits to the referees Khusan Muzaffarov, Obid Jumayev and Jasur Rustamov for the decision of the match in favor of “Kokand-1912” club. The chief referee of the match, Khusan Muzaffarov, agreed to this offer and shared the money with assistant referees Obid Jumayev and Jasur Rustamov.

The UFA Ethics Committee found out that the referees of the Football Referees Center of Uzbekistan Khusan Muzaffarov, Obid Jumayev and Jasur Rustamov violated the relevant clauses of the UFA Disciplinary Code. A lifetime ban from all football-related activities and fine disciplinary measures were applied against them.

Also, Shukhrat Muminov, sports director of the “Kokand-1912” FC, was found guilty based on the relevant clauses of the UFA Disciplinary Code, and was sentenced to life-long exclusion from all football-related activities.

“The Uzbekistan Football Association informs that it regularly cooperates with FIFA, AFC, Sportradar and other relevant organizations to determine fixed matches. In turn, it warns that strict measures will be taken against the guilty persons in connection with the cases to be determined in the future,” the report reads.
