Uzbekistan, Pakistan discuss the issue of Trans-Afghan railway
Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting with the delegation of Pakistan, where issues of deepening bilateral cooperation in various sectors were discussed.

Mirziyoyev met with the Pakistani delegation led by Prime Minister Anwaar ul-Haq Kakar as part of the Economic Cooperation Organization summit events.
Topical issues of further deepening bilateral cooperation were discussed, primarily in the trade-economic, investment and transport-communications spheres.
Active contacts at different levels were noted with satisfaction. The volumes of mutual trade turnover and cargo transportation are growing - these figures have increased by 40% since the beginning of the year. Cooperation projects are being implemented in the textile, chemical, pharmaceutical and other industries. 20 joint ventures have been created.
The importance of adopting an industrial cooperation program, eliminating trade barriers and creating favorable conditions for the development of business ties was emphasized at the meeting. Particular attention was paid to the Trans-Afghan Railway. An exchange of views on regional issues was also held.
