Uzbekistan appoints new ambassador to Austria
Bakhtiyor Ibragimov has become the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan to Austria.

He arrived in Vienna to start his work as the head of Uzbekistanās diplomatic mission to this country.
Prior to this appointment, Ibragimov worked as the permanent representative of Uzbekistan to the UN in New York. He previously also held various positions in the central office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and in the embassies of Uzbekistan in the United States and South Korea.
In this post, Bakhtiyor Ibragimov replaced Abat Fayzullayev, who served as ambassador in Vienna in 2020-2023. Currently, Abat Fayzullayev heads the diplomatic mission of Uzbekistan in Italy.
