Two people killed during a conflict between border guards and local residents in Vodil
When the border guards tried to take the owners of the car, where the illegally imported products were found, to the unit, their accomplices intervened in the situation.

Two people were killed during a conflict between border guards and local residents in the Vodil residential area of Fergana region, bordering with Kyrgyzstan. The border troops made an official statement about the situation in the border area of Fergana district.
"On the night of October 16 of this year, local citizens A.M. and O. Yu., who were moving from the territory of the "Buston" mahalla were shot by the military personnel of the border troops, who were on duty in the Vodil settlement of the Fergana district (Fergana region), were stopped. When their motor vehicle was inspected in the prescribed manner, it was found out that the interior of the vehicle contained goods illegally imported into the territory of the country.
In order to clarify this situation, when they were invited to go to the border troops unit, citizens A.M. and O.Yu. and about ten of their accomplices gathered near the area, where the incident took place. The men under the influence of alcohol disobeyed the legal demands of the military personnel and actively resisted the border guards and used force against them," the border guards said.
As a result, military personnel received various injuries. Due to the fact that the resisting forces were not equal, the border guards fired warning shots in order to stop the illegal movements of the citizens. However, the lawbreakers continued their illegal actions.
"Two of the citizens who continued to actively resist the military personnel without correct conclusions from the warning died on the spot as a result of the use of weapons," the report said.
The relevant law enforcement agencies are investigating the case.
