39.3 billion soums were embezzled at Andijan State University.
In particular:
25.1 billion soums of extra stipends were calculated for 8,761 students who studied without a stipend (they paid less tuition fee), and payment records were falsified;
9.3 billion soums paid by students were not transferred to the university account;
2.7 billion soums of incentive funds allocated to students were not distributed, and their signatures were forged;
1.1 billion soums overestimated stipends were allocated to 2,226 students from budget funds twice for one period;
911.8 million soums of cash received from student dormitory rent were illegally appropriated without being transferred to the university account.
In addition, contrary to the requirements of the legislation on state procurement, a direct contract of 2.5 billion soums was concluded with an individual for the purchase of a service house for the university, of which 300 million soums were misappropriated.
5.1 billion soums of damage has been recovered. Currently, a set of formalized documents has been sent to law enforcement agencies for legal assessment.
Earlier, it was reported that Andijan State University ended the first half of 2023 with a loss of 7 billion 399 million soums.
