Today, delivery of another 50 Volkswagen Caddy category A ambulances to the “103” stations in the system of healthcare departments of Kashkadarya and Khorezm regions has begun.
“In world practice, the service life of ambulance vehicles is on average 5-8 years,” Abduvoitjon Gafurov, director of the Republican Ambulance Center, said. The need to modernize machines manufactured more than 8 years ago, which are also used in our country, was noted.
Therefore, the “103” service is taking measures to gradually replace obsolete cars with modern ones. Today's event is a practical expression of this work, and it is planned to deliver 610 more such vehicles to the regions by the end of the year.
The fifth-generation Volkswagen Caddy Class A runs on an all-new MQB platform. They are equipped with a 1.6 MPI naturally aspirated engine with a 6-speed manual transmission and 110 horsepower. For 100 kilometers, the car consumes 7 liters of fuel in the combined cycle.
