Uzbekistan increases cement production
In January-June 2023, 5.7 million tons of cement were produced in Uzbekistan.
According to the Statistics Agency, the volume of cement production increased by 10.2% compared to the same period last year.
The agency added that in the first half of the year, 68.1 trillion soums worth of construction work was completed in Uzbekistan. This is more by 4.8% than in the corresponding period of 2022.
As of July 1, there are 34,102 construction companies in the republic.
