“This year, 100 billion tenge was allocated from the republican budget for the implementation of large investment projects based on the experience of the North Kazakhstan region for the creation of 65 dairy farms with a production capacity of 373 thousand tons of milk per year, which will reduce the country’s import dependence from 39% to 11%,” he said.
At the same time, the existing state support measures have made it possible to maintain the investment attractiveness of the livestock industry, the minister believes.
“Last year, the volume of investments in animal husbandry increased by 67% compared to 2021 and reached 117.5 billion tenge. A total of 102 investment projects were implemented. At the same time, the largest volume of investments falls on the construction of dairy farms. In 2022, 36 dairy farms with a capacity of 52.4 thousand tons of milk were commissioned. Also, 7 investment projects for the construction of meat poultry farms with a total capacity of 41.9 thousand tons of poultry meat per year were put into operation,” he concluded.
