Uzbekistan, Sweden to establish cooperation in "Central Asia - Northern Council" format
Reportedly, a meeting was held between the head of the department of cooperation with European countries and EU institutions, Oybek Shakhavdinov, and the Swedish ambassador (in Stockholm), Thomas Danestad, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Current issues on the bilateral agenda were discussed, including issues of activating Uzbekistan-Sweden cooperation in the political, investment, trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian spheres.
Expanding contacts in the field of education and tourism were identified as promising directions.
Interest was expressed in the establishment of interregional cooperation in the format of "Central Asia - Northern Council".
The parties confirmed that they are ready to take concrete steps to strengthen mutually beneficial relations and effectively use the available opportunities.
