Vice-President of the European Commission to visit Uzbekistan
Yesterday, the head of the Department for Cooperation with European Countries and EU Institutions, Oybek Shakhavdinov, met with the head of the EU Delegation, Ambassador Charlotte Adrian, at the Uzbek Foreign Ministry, Kun.uz correspondent reports.

The meeting discussed the current state of cooperation between Uzbekistan and the European Union and the prospects for its development, further bilateral and interregional activities.
In particular, on May 17-19, Vice-President of the European Commission Valdis Dombrovskis will visit Uzbekistan and take part in the annual meeting of the Board of Directors of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).
Following the meeting, the importance of continuing the practice of organizing joint events aimed at further developing relations between Uzbekistan and the European Union in the political, trade-economic, cultural-humanitarian spheres was emphasized.
