Uzbekistan’s population may rank 6th among 50 countries in Eurasia by 2050
By 2050, Uzbekistan will surpass Poland, Ukraine, Spain and Italy with its population of almost 60 million, Alisher Jumanov, head of ESG Wealth in Boston, reported.

Alisher Jumanov, who studied at Columbia and Oxford universities and has been working in the field of investment banking around the world for more than 25 years, took part in the “O‘zbekistonlik. GENERATING IDEAS” international forum.
“According to the calculations of our think tank that conducts research on human capital, in 2023, among European and CIS countries, Uzbekistan will take the first place in terms of the number of babies born in one year. In 1950, the population of Uzbekistan was more than 6 million, and it was in 20th place among 50 countries in Eurasia. If our population reaches 60 million by 2050, this means not only that we will enter the top ten in the list, but also that our population will grow 10 times in a 100-year period,” Jumanov said.
It is noteworthy that these thoughts were expressed at such convenient platforms for information exchange as the “Woman in Salt” art exhibition and the Pepsi Food Show, which took place within the framework of the “O‘zbekistonlik. GENERATING IDEAS” forum.
