Uzbekistan, Sweden to strengthen cooperation between Oliy Majlis and Riksdag
As part of the visit to Sweden, the delegation of Uzbekistan, headed by the first deputy chairman of the Senate of Oliy Majlis Sodiq Safoyev, met in Stockholm with the chairman of the Riksdag group in the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly Björn Söder and his deputy Johan Büser.

During the talks, the importance of strengthening cooperation between the Oliy Majlis and the Riksdag within the framework of international parliamentary organizations was discussed.
The deputies of the Swedish parliament were informed about the upcoming referendum in Uzbekistan, as well as large-scale democratic and socio-economic reforms in the republic.
Following the meeting, the parties reached an agreement to continue close cooperation in developing common positions and approaches on issues related to the activities of the OSCE and its Parliamentary Assembly.
