During the visit, members of the delegation held a meeting with the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of India. During the talks with Minister Amit Shah and other officials, it was noted that thanks to the sincere and friendly relations between the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi, cooperation between our countries has developed dynamically. It was noted that the mutual visits of the leaders of the two countries are an important factor in bringing bilateral relations to a qualitatively new level.
It was also emphasized that close cooperation has been established between the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Uzbekistan and the relevant departments of India in the field of preventing emergency situations and eliminating their consequences. It was noted that specialists in this field have ample opportunities to reach new heights of cooperation in the future.
During the meeting, representatives of India expressed their readiness to organize training and advanced training for Uzbek specialists at the National Academy of Fire and Safety Engineering (NAFS) in Nagpur.
The head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Uzbekistan, Abdulla Kuldoshev, and the Minister of State for the Interior of India, Nityanand Rai, signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Uzbekistan and the National Disaster Management Agency of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of India on cooperation in the field of prevention and elimination of emergency situations.
