SSS prevents illegal trade of potent drugs in large quantities

A Cobalt car was stopped and checked at the “Chinor” traffic police checkpoint located in the Akhangaran district, Tashkent region. It was found out that the car’s driver, a resident of Altiarik district of Fergana region, and a citizen of Fergana district, who was traveling in it as a passenger, were transporting 10,864 units of Regapen and 1,995 units of Tropikamid potent drugs to Tashkent city.

After that, the operative event was continued, and a woman living in the Yashnabad district and a citizen living in the Uchtepa district were detained while receiving these drugs in the Sergeli district.

In another case, when a Cobalt car parked in the section of the Tashkent ring road passing through Bektemir district was inspected with the participation of impartial parties, two citizens living in the Fergona district, who were in the cabin, brought 5,450 units of Regapen and 466 units of Tropikamid potent drugs from Fergana region to Tashkent city. These drugs were seized in accordance with the procedural order.

Also, another Cobalt car traveling on the “Namangan-Tashkent” route was stopped and inspected at the “Sharq” traffic police checkpoint at the entrance to the capital. It was found out that there were 590 pieces of Cellophen and 478 pieces of Tropikamid potent drugs in a bag belonging to a woman (a resident of Uchkurgan district), who was traveling as a passenger.

It became known that she had to take these drugs to two citizens, who were waiting in Tashkent. Thus, these persons were also detained with material evidence when they received the drugs in Sergeli district. 137 pieces of Cellophen and 11 pieces of Tropikamid powerful drugs were seized from the room of a hotel in Chilanzar district, where they were temporarily staying, in a procedural order.

All potent drugs were smuggled from Kyrgyzstan. Currently, criminal cases have been initiated against these persons under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code. Investigations are being conducted.
