Almost 1.5 thousand fatal accidents occurred in Uzbekistan over nine months
About 50 percent of accidents occurred as a result of improperly organized road infrastructure.

In January-September 2022, 6,449 road accidents occurred in Uzbekistan, of which 1,494 cases ended in the death of people. Mashrab Razzokov, head of the Center for the Study of Road Safety Issues, said.
It is noted that 49.3 percent of accidents occurred due to the improper organization of road infrastructure. Also, 1,315 accidents (20.4 percent) were caused by human factors (such as speeding, inexperience of the driver).
Roads lack pedestrian crossings in 884 places, Razzokov added.
