In January-September, Uzbekistan imported 1,629 electric vehicles for $51.3 million, according to the monthly report of the State Statistics Committee.
Imports of electric vehicles increased by 2.9 times compared to the same period last year and by about 20 times compared to 2020.
Monthly volume in September fell by 30% compared to August, amounting to 130 vehicles worth $4.9 million. For comparison, 279 electric vehicles entered the country in April – so far, this is a monthly record.
Among the supplying countries, China holds the first place with 1,422 electric vehicles, of which more than a hundred were brought over the past month. The UAE remains in second place with 111 vehicles (+1), Germany is third with 31 (+7).
During the reporting period, 31 electric vehicles were imported from Hong Kong, 10 – from Lithuania, 7 from – South Korea and 7 from other countries.
