Uzbekistan repatriates 844 citizens who found themselves in a difficult situation abroad

For 9 months of 2022, more than 27 thousand citizens were sent to work in countries such as Russia, Korea, Kazakhstan, Great Britain, Turkey, Germany, Japan, the Agency for External Labor Migration reported.
It is noted that the agency rendered services to a total of more than 206 thousand citizens.
In particular, more than 183 thousand people received counseling services, 6,063 people received legal assistance, over 15 thousand people received social assistance, and 2,595 people received material assistance, of which: 1,009 people received one-time material assistance for a total of $50,255.
Also, 198 citizens were placed in temporary hostels, and 844 citizens who found themselves in a difficult life situation were taken to Uzbekistan.
With the intervention of the Agency’s representative offices abroad, Uzbek migrants’ wages in the amount of $834,000 were collected from foreign employers.
