According to the MFA, the event was attended by the heads of the foreign ministries of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey, Hungary, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, as well as the secretary general and chairman of the council of elders of the OTS.
The participants exchanged views on topical issues of the regional and international agenda and interaction within the organization, and also considered draft documents submitted for signing during the OTS summit scheduled for November 11, 2022, in Samarkand.
The head of the Uzbek delegation, Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Norov stressed that the rapidity of the events taking place in the world and changes in international relations demand the need for constant adaptation of the OTS to modern realities.
The importance of implementing initiatives put forward by the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev within the framework of the organization aimed at expanding trade and economic cooperation, strengthening ties in the field of transport, innovation, ICT, science, technology and cultural-humanitarian interaction was noted.
Following the meeting, it was decided to hold the next meeting of the Ministerial Council on November 10, 2022, in Samarkand.
