According to Asia-Plus, IT Park of Uzbekistan offered $10 million for the Dodaho.tj search system developed in Tajikistan.

The Tajik alternative to Google and Yandex systems was developed by Fayzullajon Safarov, a teacher of the Dushanbe branch of MISiS University, and his friends.

“A person who introduced himself as the manager of the Uzbekistan IT Park offered to change the name of the Dodaho.tj search system to Dodaho.uz, we did not agree and refused to sell it. Because this is a national product and the interest of the nation should come before personal interest. We will not sell it to anyone,” Faizullajon Safarov said.

According to him, currently about 1 million people use the dodaho.tj search engine. Dodaho resources have more than 500,000 e-books, public literature and useful information in 35 languages.

In turn, the founder of the system said that there is no interest in his innovative projects from local investors and the government.

“They did not believe in our success, they said that it is difficult to compete with Google and Yandex, but we are moving forward. The project is mainly financed by my parents, brothers and some of my friends,” Safarov added.

For information, Fayzullajon Safarov developed the Dodaho national browser together with his friends.
