Head of power grid enterprise detained in Tashkent region for accepting 6 million soums in bribe

According to the press service of the Department for Combating Economic Crimes, the head of the Pskent district power grid enterprise U.Kh. demanded a bribe from the head of a local manufacturing enterprise in exchange for writing off a debt for electricity in the amount of 106 million soums.
He was caught red-handed while receiving 6 million soums, handed over through the enterprise’s security guard.
A similar incident occurred in the Samarkand region. It turned out that the head of one of the LLCs received 35 million soums and $300 to write off the debt for electricity from one of the farms, but he spent the money on his own needs.
In the Jizzakh region, a lawyer from one of the district power grid enterprises was detained. For money, he promised to pay off a debt of 6.2 million soums accrued for the illegal use of electricity in the house of citizen R. The lawyer was caught with material evidence at the time of receiving 1.9 million soums in bribe.
On all the above facts, criminal cases have been initiated under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code, Currently, investigative actions are being carried out.
