Erdoğan congratulated the leader of Uzbekistan on the successful completion of the SCO summit and thanked him for the invitation to participate as an honored guest.

At the meeting, the leaders exchanged views on issues of activation of multifaceted Uzbekistan-Turkey cooperation based on mutual respect, friendship and trust.

The parties emphasized the importance of further deepening political-diplomatic, inter-parliamentary, trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian relations, bringing them to the level of comprehensive strategic partnership.

The sides noted with pleasure that the mutual dialogues have achieved new highs thanks to the implementation of the agreements reached at the high-level meetings in Tashkent on March 29-30 of this year.

The leaders of the two countries agreed to implement new joint projects in the fields of agriculture, transport, electrical engineering, textile and leather industry, innovations, high technologies, tourism and culture.

They especially noted the energy sector as a promising area of cooperation. In the coming years, the parties will implement projects worth about $1 billion.

The parties also exchanged views on future events, including the plan for the OTS summit to be held in Samarkand.
