Latvia is one of the important partners of Uzbekistan in the countries of the European Union and constantly supports the multifaceted development of both bilateral and multilateral cooperation.
In 2021, the volume of foreign trade turnover between our countries amounted to $116 million, including exports – $49.3 million and imports – $66.7 million.
One of the confirmations of Uzbekistan’s interest in cooperation with entrepreneurs of the Baltic States and the European Union in various fields is the successful participation of Uzbek companies in the largest food exhibition “RIGA FOOD 2022”, as well as other exhibition and fair events held in Europe.
The main goal of the business mission is to further strengthen ties, increase bilateral turnover and open up new prospects for interaction between Uzbekistan and Latvia. In addition, the event is aimed at presenting the tourism potential and cultural heritage of our country.
The delegation of the trade mission is represented by 46 export-oriented subjects of domestic business in the agricultural, food, wine and vodka, textile, leather and footwear, pharmaceutical, chemical, metallurgical industries and representatives of large associations.
As part of the business mission, presentations of the export opportunities of industries, investment potential and tourist attractiveness of our country will be held, where representatives of the Latvian business community will be able to get an idea of the current economic development of Uzbekistan, as well as get acquainted with the products of Uzbek companies.
As part of the business mission, B2B negotiations will be held, where Uzbek companies will have the opportunity to get acquainted with the key features of the Latvian market, cooperation experience and areas of cooperation in the supply of domestic products from various industries to the Baltic countries and the EU.
